Guardian Accounting was established in 2006 in response to demand for practical & effective solutions for small business owners, investors and personal taxpayers.   We are located in North Queensland and provide accounting & tax services to clients in the Townsville to Ingham region, but we also have clients who are equally served from as far as Melbourne in the South, Cairns in the North, and West to Emerald.

Our philosophy is based upon principles of

We believe strongly that personal service is of utmost importance in developing a business relationship, and we strive to not only provide you with outstanding service but to ensure that the advice and services that we do provide are practical, effective and in your best interests.

Behind the name Guardian Accounting are the two business owners Ross & Trudi Johnston.   Ross is the accountant and his  qualifications include PNA status with the NIA, Registered Tax Agent, Bachelor of Business (Accounting) & Diploma of Business (Accounting).  

Ross has worked in both public practice and commercial business since his career metamorphosis from being a mobile diesel mechanic.   This combination of both areas of accounting and his trade background provide his clients with a real world experience of which many accountants cannot boast.  Upon completing his Diploma of Business, Ross was awarded the "Most Outstanding Student" award at Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE.  Upon graduation from Charles Sturt University with his Bachelor of Business (Accounting), Ross was offered membership with Golden Key International Honour Society, a membership limited to students achieving results in the top 15% of the year.

Trudi is the "Hilary Clinton" of the business providing the essential support and client service functions, whilst maintaining a well functioning family of 3 children.
